Smell The Glove 2 was banging!

The second installment of Smell The Glove at St. Jerome's in LES was a powerhouse. It was presented by Earache Records and hosted by Nickels and Dimes along Brooklyn Ski Club.
Noisecreep's Power Hour kicked things off with the official listening of the new RATT album Infestation. Their latest album in over 10 yrs! The place was hella packed and the young guns really got into it...with a little help from the open bar, thnx PBR!

After the listening hour, Fanelli from SHAPES took over Dj duties and spun a hella fun set, complete with golden gems from Hanoi Rocks, Twisted Sister, Dio to Danzig, while the sexy Victoria Privates did her thing Go-Go style.

The next Dj was Prince Terrence (popular local dj from Circa party) he got some good mixes in, most notably a guns n' roses/cramps/slayer/ metallica mash-up...pretty effin good! The crowd was definitely feeling it and some of the girls in attendance just took over the stage en-masse to go-go...which is aces in my book.

Right after that, Dj Matt Kepler from Precious Metal Mondays was up. Bodacious Amber Star joined the party too and danced to the likes of Motorhead, Maiden, White Wizzard, Ozzy, Cauldron to much delight of the die-hard drunken surly mugs like myself still not ready to go home.

The crowd was pretty great, from metal heads, punk dudes, hot girls to college kids. Our homies from MetalSucks, Metal Injection, Sirius Liquid Metal, Royalflush mag, RoadRunner, Heavy Metal Happy Hour, among other industry peeps came out to party with us 4:20 style!
oh, and we gave out rad Gift bags throughout the night with a bunch of goodies from all the sponsors too!

It was a fun boozy night to say the least and we're starting to work on the third installment. In the meantime, here are some pics to gawk at. (pics by Dr. Photog and Nickels n Dimes)

Earache is (or has been) home to killer bands like Municipal Waste, Napalm Death, Morbid Angel, Dillinger Escape Plan, White Wizzard, and a shit ton more! plus the bros at Noisecreep and Metalsucks join in to make it a heavy hitter party.

added bonus:

Amber Star and Victoria Privates will be rocking a go-go all nite! and we'll pass around some goodies throughout the nite. It'll be fun as hell, so you better be there!

Smell The Glove was pretty effin epic!

The premier edition of Smell The Glove went down at St. Jerome in the Lower East Side.
NoiseCreep.com's Power Hour kicked things off with the listening party for the new Scorpions album Sting In The Tail.
A bunch of people came out to check it out and they seemed to really dig it...pretty solid record, I might add.

At around 10pm brody Matt aka Klicka from Wizardry started his set of hair metal, gritty punk and hard rock tunage. Then our lovely dancers Amber and Apathy took the stage like only they can. Meanwhile, Scotty Skitzo was giving free mohawks. Our homie Lex was the ballzy one to get one. fuck yeah!

The nxt Dj was iLan who was celebrating his bday that night and he brought out some hard rock gems and 80s metal radness. Dj Cobra (Sean Carpenter) closed the night with a heavier set with some Sabbath and Maiden to much delight of all our drunken asses.

The crowd was a mixed bag of nuts, from metal heads to a few hipster kids, local band members to nightlife figures. The Dim Mak bros were having a great time and Andy Shaw promotions showed up and fist pumped for a few. He scored a killshopkill tote bag with goodies from our sponsors (Nickels and Dimes included) we were giving away. After he left he was cruising on his motorcycle and the bag apparently burst into flames without him realizing it. From what I hear it was a very Ghost Rider-esque scene down on Delancey St.

We had a blast and we'll be doing another one soon...brewing it as I type this.
Everyone had a great time and even the Village Voice featured pics from that night on both online and their print edition. Here are some pics from DrivenByBoredom, Dr. Photog.
