Faster Pussycat in Brooklyn
Went to see Faster Pussycat at Europa the other day. My buddies WildStreet and The Party Death opened for them. Lutsa chicks and dudes with big hair and make up...holy hair metal madness!
Founding frontman Taime Downe is the last member standing from those days and effectively brought LA glam to Brooklyn. The sleaze-rock heroes played the hits and even their love song house of pain...it was a fun car wreck on memory lane.

Iron Maiden
scored some comp orchestra section tickets for Iron Maiden in NJ with the Earache and Skateboard Marketing homies. fyi, new material from The Last Frontier album...was meh.
As usual the classics are what we wanted to hear: wrathchild, running free, number of the beast, iron maiden, hallowed be thy name, all delivered!

The Creators Project
Awhile back I went to this excellent event put together by VICE mag and INTEL at MILK studios in manhattan: The Creators Project
great art, good music, free foood & booze all day...I mean, you couldn't walk into any room without seeing 2-3 open bars. friggin awesome! reportedly there were 4k people in attendance...it was packed.
got to see up-close performances by The Rapture and Interpol, along with Sleigh Bells (killer set complete with Slayer's South of Heaven intro) Gang Gang Dance, South Africa's Die Antwoord and even my ultimate boner (Kirsten Dunst) was in the same room watching M.I.A.
epic day!
